Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Limited (MRPL) invites applications from eligible candidates for the following positions. Candidates are requested to read the advertisement carefully before applying online. Apply only if you are sure that you meet the eligibility Criteria.

Position : General Manger (Finance) (E 8 Grade)  : 1
Minimum qualification and experience : CA/ICWA/MBA with specialization in Finance with minimum 21 years relevant post qualification experience in a large reputed Corporate presently working in the position of at least Chief Manager. Work experience in a Refinery/Fertilizer/Petrochemical/Chemical Plant will be of added advantage. Experience in Corporate Accounts Finalisation , Treasury Management, indirect Taxation , Preparation of Budget , Maintenance of Cost Records, Preparation of Management Information Reports etc will be Preferred.

Position : Dy Manager (Depot Operations) (E 3 Grade)  : 1
Minimum qualification and experience : Engineering Graduates with at least 7 years relevant post Qualification Experience , out of which at least 3 years must be in Depot/Terminal Operation with TTL Loading Experience in an Oil Company.

Position : Dy Manager (Finance) (E 3 Grade) : 2
Minimum qualification and experience : CA/ICWA/MBA with specialization in Finance with at least 7 years relevant post qualification experience in a reputed organisation in the areas related to taxation, Treasury, Oil Accounting, General Accounting etc. Candidates with experience of working in large PSU(s) will have an added advantage.

Position : Sr Executive (Finance) (E 2 Grade)  : 1
Minimum qualification and experience : CA/ICWA/MBA with specialization in Finance with at least 4 years relevant post qualification experience in a reputed organisation in the areas related to taxation, Treasury, Oil Accounting, General Accounting etc. Candidates with experience of working in large PSU(s) will have an added advantage.

Position : Engineer (Chemical) (E 1 Grade)  : 1

General Instructions:
1. All the qualifications specified above should be recognized by UGC/AICTE.
2. Candidates called for interview/written test if any, shall be reimbursed Traveling Allowance as follows from their correspondence  address  in  India  on  production  of  actual  tickets  by  the  shortest  route. Local  travel  cost, if  any, shall  be  borne  by  the candidates. E 8- Grade- Will be reimbursed economy class air fare. E3- Grade – 1st class/2  AC Rail fare including Rajdhani Express.   E1- E2 grades- 2nd Class Rail/Bus Fare. W1-W2- JM3-SC/ST/PC's will be reimbursed 2nd class Rail/Bus  fare.
3. Candidates applying for E-1/W1/W2 Grade positions shall be required to appear for a written test in the concerned discipline.
4. Location of the job is as mentioned against each position. However, employees are liable to be transferred to any place in India or abroad, within the same Organisation, one of the group companies  of  ONGC  or  any  other  Organisation.
5. Allowances and perquisites shall be as admissible for each grade.
6. In case large numbers of applications are received, Management reserves the right to raise the minimum eligibility standards/ criteria.

12. Persons employed in Government Organizations/Public Sector Undertakings/Autonomous Bodies owned by the Government, should submit on-line applications and take print out of acknowledgement slip and forward their application through proper channel. About the organization:  
MRPL, located in a beautiful hilly terrain north of Mangalore city, is a State of Art Grassroot Refinery at Mangalore and is a subsidiary of ONGC. The Refinery has got a versatile design with high flexibility to process Crudes of various API and with high degree of Automation. MRPL has a design capacity to process 11.82 million metric tonnes per annum and is the only Refinery in India to have 2 Hydrocrackers producing Premium Diesel (High Cetane). It is also the only Refinery in India to have 2 CCRs producing Unleaded Petrol of High Octane. MRPL has high standards in refining and environment protection matched by its commitments to society. MRPL has also developed a Green Belt around the entire Refinery with plant species specially selected to blend with the local flora.Before acquisition by ONGC in March 2003, MRPL, was a joint venture Oil Refinery promoted by M/s Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL), a public sector company and M/s IRIL & associates (AV Birla Group). MRPL was set up in 1988 with the initial processing capacity of 3.0 Million Metric tonnes per annum that was later expanded to the present capacity of 11.82 Million Metric tonnes per annum. The Refinery was conceived to maximise middle distillates, with capability to process light to heavy and sour to sweet Crudes with 24 to 46 API gravity. On 28th March 2003, ONGC acquired the total shareholding of A.V. Birla Group and further infused equity capital of Rs.600 crores thus making MRPL a majority held subsidiary of ONGC. The lenders also agreed to the Debt Restructuring Package (DRP) proposed by ONGC, which included, interalia, conversion upto Rs 365 crore of their loans into equity. Subsequently, ONGC has acquired equity allotted to the lenders pursuant to DRP raising ONGC's holding in MRPL to 71.62 percent. The implementation of DRP in March 2003 within 4 weeks of acquiring equity in MRPL by ONGC has changed the credit profile of the company.
